Eliminating seed and skin blockages from nozzles
In a recirculated water system, seeds, skins, pulp, stems, and grains can clog various tank-washing nozzle designs and prevent them from operating properly. Success in the food processing and beverage sectors depends on regularly cleaning tanks and keeping a clean environment. Losses of time, money, and resources result from issues with these systems, which is a condition that cannot be tolerated.
Getting Clogged by Recirculated Water
BETE was called by a system designer for a tomato processing factory to assist with troubleshooting their tank cleaning system.
They discovered clogging brought on by seeds and skins in recirculated pumping system after inserting six competitor cleaning nozzles in total into two tanks, each measuring 30m in diameter by 24m high. They collaborated with BETE Applications Engineers to find a solution after becoming frustrated with frequent blockages and excessive time spent on nozzle maintenance. Additionally, they increased the effectiveness of cleaning their tomato processing tanks.
BETE's HydroClaw®
The systems designer had done their homework and was looking for further details to see whether the novel HydroClaw was the appropriate option for their tank washing needs.
Engineers from BETE proposed six HydroClaw 100 nozzles—three for each tank—after analysing the vessels' size. The HydroClaw being a convenient option for flushing tomato seeds and skins with recirculated water because of its spacious passageway. While cleaning tanks, the low-maintenance HydroClaw self-flushes as it has no moving components or gears that may seize up while in use.
Findings
The tomato processing company got in touch with BETE to show their delight after putting the six improved HydroClaw 100s to the test in their tank cleaning system. As a result of their satisfaction with HydroClaw's performance, they asked for a price for 23 more nozzles to increase the effectiveness of tank washing at their other locations.
Grape seeds and skins may travel through the nozzle of the HydroClaw, which was created primarily to provide tank-washing innovation for wineries. It is the preferred nozzle for applications involving food processing because of its design element.
The HydroClaw saves time and money by keeping tanks spotless and prepared for the next cycle. This is whether it is employed in a business that processes tomatoes or any other type of food processing facility.
